Reporting to the Supervisor of the instrumentation & control team, you will carry out projects in an industrial environment and will assume the following responsibilities:
- Participate in the realization of engineering mandates in instrumentation and control;
- Prepare project cost estimates
- Design drawings of process control systems
- Select the instruments;
- Write the functional descriptions of the processes;
- Participate in the programming of PLCs and operator screens;
- Test and correct programs;
- Participate in the commissioning of equipment such as variable frequency drives, calibration of instruments and other electrical equipment;
- Offer technical support after startup.
Skills and requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a field related to instrumentation and automation;
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience;
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
- Knowledge of programming of distributed control systems, PLCs, communication networks and operator screens;
- Good knowledge of engine controls;
- Bilingualism (French-English) both oral and written;
- Certificate of ASP Construction;
- Experience in consulting engineering and operating plants (an asset);
- Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code;
- Excellent technical writing;
- Ability to adapt, rigor and sense of organization;
- Excellent team player and good communicator.
