Count on powerful and robust facilities

Energy-producing facilities are major projects, requiring exemplary management and great technical integrity to operate efficiently over long periods of time with minimum interventions. Since 1997, the Seneca team has carried out many energy projects for thermal and hybrid power plants. We are experts in optimizing and completing efficient facilities in accordance with current standards. In an industry continually shaped by new technologies and supply sources, you need to work with an experienced, skilled and flexible team in order to generate energy in an efficient, cost-effective, sustainable and safe manner.

Optimal, long term independent production

Our engineers address all of your project’s issues so as to deliver the promised energy performance. For example, all installed motors will be continuously tested to ensure they produce as much energy as possible. Your facilities will be reliable; they will connect to the network and provide uninterrupted service, depending on its variability. Our design methods are optimized for long-term easy maintenance of all equipment and systems.

Limiting and controlling emissions

We recognise that some sites are located in sensitive environments and will work with you to ensure that we respect the surroundings, which is how we reduce the social and environmental impacts of your project. When it comes to energy-producing infrastructures, noise levels are often an issue. Our team carefully selects silencers, and works on the air intakes’ design and on the power plant itself to reduce noise levels. We also optimize effluent treatment to comply with standards at all times.

Major challenges

With energy-related work sites located relatively far from urban centres, we know how to harness all resources available within a reasonable radius to help during the construction and operation phases of industrial facilities. We assess all conceivable options concerning the site, such as the choice of fuel, major equipment, human resources, and so on. Every decision helps reduce facility capital, operating and maintenance budgets.

Why choose Seneca?

  • We have participated in several power plant projects world-wide

INNOVATION TO MANUFACTURING IN FIVE SEAMLESS STEPS

1) Research and discover

Our engineers develop technical and economic models to validate different manufacturing scenarios.

INNOVATION TO MANUFACTURING IN FIVE SEAMLESS STEPS

2) Define the design

Our team develops prototypes and pilot programs to validate the design and the performance criteria for laboratory testing.

INNOVATION TO MANUFACTURING IN FIVE SEAMLESS STEPS

3) Laboratory testing

Laboratory testing is the first phase of process design. All critical elements identified in the previous step are resolved by our experts and all tests are documented.

4) Build a pilot- or semi-pilot plant

This new phase aims at testing the continuous process while optimizing it for manufacturing. Here, the process is developed entirely by our engineers.

5) Switch to commercial mode

The risks associated with marketing will have been lowered considerably by virtue of the rigorously documented completion of the previous steps. Our team will continue managing your project until your plant has been built or your operations site has been developed.
