Benoit Couture, Eng.
Benoit Couture is a mechanical engineer. He earned his engineering degree at the École Polytechnique (Université de Montréal) in 1988. He has acquired most of his experience in the metallurgical, chemical and energy sectors. With a strong focus on project execution, Benoit understands how to leverage the power of engineering to maximise project value.
Benoit possesses vision and determination. He has assembled a team whose expert knowledge of processes ensures that clients can bring their projects successfully to completion. Thanks to his solid understanding of each phase of an engineering and construction project, Benoit quickly grasps a project’s challenges. He recognizes and optimizes the strengths of each team member in order to smooth the way to commercial success for Seneca clients.
Raymond Simoneau, Eng., P.Eng., MBA
Partner and Vice-President – Engineering Development
Raymond Simoneau graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke in 1984 with a degree in chemical engineering. He possesses over 30 years of experience in the processing industry, particularly in the extractive metallurgy, chemical, explosives, petrochemical, and high-purity materials sectors.
Raymond is responsible for delivering the basis of design, the basis of safety and the process design, as well as for leading applications engineers on major projects. He ensures that the client’s needs are surpassed all through a project by introducing innovative and cost-effective solutions. With his expertise in industrial processes, Raymond is often tasked with preparing project charters, chairing project steering committees, and conducting hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) and value analyses (VA/VE).
Dominique Morin, Eng.
Partner and Vice-President of Engineering
Dominique Morin earned a degree in mechanical engineering from École de technologie supérieure (Université du Québec) in 1990. He has gained substantial experience in engineering and implementation in operating plants, and by managing EPCM projects.
Dominique is responsible for managing the entire technical production team, and plays a key leadership role in process technology and development projects. His familiarity with EPCM projects makes him an excellent manager for fast-track projects. Because Dominique is a licenced general contractor in the industry, his contribution to the validation and revision of construction costs and contractors’ agreements is invaluable.
François Dionne, ing.
Partner, Manager, Technical Project Management
François Dionne is a mechanical engineer with a degree from Université Laval. He possesses over 20 years of experience in project management in the field of industrial processes, particularly in the metallurgical, food, chemical, petrochemical, energy, recycling and effluent treatment sectors.
François acts as a project manager for the teams of engineers and technicians who work on EPCM contracts. His understanding of technical principles, combined with his talent for technological innovation, has led him to acquire extensive experience in this field and to design many new pieces of equipment. His creativity and know-how make him a key resource in the completion of complex projects.
